We've made it to 6 weeks.. and are hesitant as ever about this pregnancy. Over the past couple of days C has had some very light spotting and emotions have been brimming with worry about this. Statistics suggest that 50% of women that have spotting carry their babies to full term. This doesn't make us feel any better as we were one of the women in the 2% to lose a baby after seeing a strong heartbeat in an ultrasound.
C's been resting a lot and is trying to take it easy. S is scrambling and trying to make things as easy as possible at home. Tomorrow it's back to the doctor for her first true appointment. We saw the doctor two days ago with the initial concern.. she'll run some tests again Friday to see if C's HCG levels are rising in a reasonable way. We're both hoping and praying for the best.
