Hey bambino...you have one great heart!

Yesterday we had the first sneak peek of our little bambino. Poor C had to drink a litre of water (but we think she had more than that) about an hour before the ultrasound. It is times like this when having a timely technician can make all the difference in the world. The waiting area was empty but there were delays and by the time she was called into the appointment she did a little cross-legged jig all the way to the procedure room. Ugh!

Once everything was set up for the procedure and bebe's cameo shots were taken for Dr. Donna, S was brought into the room for the fun stuff. We were able to see bebe's little heart ticking away in there and saw he/she measures just under 1.77cm from crown to rump. Both of us were relieved and thrilled to see the little ticker beating away on that monotone screen, and left with our first photos in long ribbon that looked like an oversized strip of photos you'd get out of a quickie photo booth. According to the due date that Dr. Donna gave us (March 4, 2007), the measurements were perfectly on schedule - to the day.

To celebrate, we had some pupusas at a little restaurant nearby. It appears that the bebe will like pupusas when s/he arrives as this is one of the things that has made C's tummy very happy afterwards!
